Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Wexler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Durden might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pride . Wexler is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Go To Sleep - Eminem. Tyler Durden has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Durden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shawn Wexler! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wexler uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Durden. Wexler slips under a jab. We've been told by Durden's head coaches at Nights Watch MMA Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Wexler stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Durden checks a low kick from Wexler. Wexler throws a body punch but Durden moves out of range. Durden stuffs the takedown. Wexler darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Wexler tries to pass to full mount but Durden defends it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durden is not content to let Wexler control the position. Wexler wants to pass the guard but Durden is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wexler thows a huge punch but Durden dodges it nicely.
Wexler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Durden does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Wexler works his way into side control. Wexler lands a nice forearm strike. Wexler working the body and head with strikes. Durden taking a bit of punishment here - Wexler scoring with strikes. Wexler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wexler looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Durden is avoiding damage well.
Wexler tries for a kimura but Durden is defending well. Durden is not content to let Wexler control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wexler tries to advance to mount but Durden instead regains half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wexler looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Wexler sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Durden defending well though. Wexler trying to advance position but Durden counters by regaining guard. Wexler slips nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durden is staying active underneath Wexler, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wexler is looking to advance position but Durden won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wexler keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Wexler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Durden does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Wexler is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Durden defends it well. Wexler is keen to just control but Durden is a slippery customer. Wexler is looking to stall here but Durden recovers full guard. Durden has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wexler passes Durden's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wexler is trying to work for a kimura but Durden is defending well.
Wexler looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wexler is looking to stall here but Durden recovers full guard. Durden keeping moving, preventing Wexler from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Durden misses with a straight right. Durden misses with a low kick. Horrible takedown by Wexler or perhaps it was just good defense by Durden which made him look bad. Wexler tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Durden defends well and Wexler ends up having to push Durden into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Durden is trying to stall.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Durden. Wexler swings wildly with an uppercut but Durden uses good head movement to avoid it. Durden misses with the head strike.
Wexler can't break the clinch.
Wexler blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Durden lands an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wexler throws a head punch that misses. Durden lands a right hand that snaps the head of Wexler backwards. Wexler goes for a takedown attempt but Durden pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Tyler Durden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Wexler. Wexler attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Tyler Durden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Durden attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Durden connects with a nice looking jab.
Durden stuffs the takedown. No luck for Wexler with that takedown attempt. Wexler slips under a jab from Durden. Wexler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Durden manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A looping hook to the body misses from Wexler. Durden does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lazy left from Durden finds it's target. Wexler throws a shot from downtown. Durden moves away and avoids it. Durden misses with a shot to the body and Wexler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Durden tries to keep at a distance but Wexler has taken the fight into the clinch. Wexler lands a nice uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wexler swings wildly with an uppercut but Durden uses good head movement to avoid it. Durden swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Durden looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Wexler looking to stall.

Wexler throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Durden pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Wexler fails to land. Wexler blocks an uppercut.
Wexler goes for a takedown in the clinch but Durden prevents it.
Durden misses with the head strike.
Wexler lands a body punch. Durden lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Wexler blocks an uppercut.
Durden lands an elbow just above Wexler 's eye. Wexler lands a hook that snaps the head of Durden backwards. Durden has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Wexler lands a body shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wexler blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Wexler has hold of one of Durden's legs. Durden is fighting the takedown attempt but Wexler gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Durden can't keep his opponent in guard - Wexler advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Shawn Wexler has got the better of the ground game so far. Wexler trying to control from half guard but Durden is working away. Durden tries to get to full guard but Wexler has control of the leg. Wexler is keen to just control but Durden is a slippery customer. Wexler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Wexler is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Durden is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Wexler jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Durden is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Durden and Wexler has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Shawn Wexler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Wexler shoots in and drives through. Durden sprawls well. Durden connects with a high kick. Durden tries to clinch up but Wexler circles away and keeps his distance. Wexler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nice shot lands for Wexler. Durden tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Wexler throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Wexler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tyler Durden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Wexler.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durden wants to clinch up but Wexler keeps it at a distance. Wexler wants to clinch but Durden slips to the side and Durden counters with a nice kick to the body. Wexler swings for the body but Durden moves out of range.
Wexler looks to land a right hand but Durden moved out of range. Durden tries to clinch but Wexler is having none of it. Durden throws out a loose jab but Wexler uses good head movement to avoid it. Wexler scores with a jab. Durden swings away with a leg kick that misses. Durden turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Durden doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A punch lands to the side of Wexler 's head but he takes it in his stride.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durden is looking to slow Wexler down with leg kicks. Durden ducks under a wild hook from Wexler. A looping hook to the body misses from Wexler. Durden does a little dance to reset his feet. Durden lands a front kick. Wexler lands a nice shot that snaps Durden's head back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wexler misses with a straight left. Durden fails in his attempt to clinch. Wexler looks to land a right hand but Durden moved out of range. Durden shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Wexler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Wexler throws an overhand right that lands on Durden's shoulder, as Durden tries to avoid the shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durden looks to land a left hand but Wexler moved out of range nicely. Durden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wexler paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wexler digs a good body shot into Durden's ribs. Durden looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Durden slaps away a takedown attempt from Wexler, before circling back to the center of the mat. Wexler on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Tyler Durden has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! A nice inside leg kick there by Durden. That's going to slow Wexler down. Jab, jab by Durden - just one landing. Durden throws a shot to the body.

Wexler steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Durden. Durden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wexler.
Durden feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wexler's calf. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Durden throws a low kick but it's checked well by Wexler. Wexler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Durden moves away. Wexler scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Wexler gets a takedown into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Durden won't allow Wexler to pass to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Tyler Durden showed his dominance in that final round. I think Wexler has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
