Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lorenzo Valenta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crash Bandicoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bandicoot has chosen Crash Bandicoot: Jungle Rollers Remix as his entrance music. Crash Bandicoot acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lorenzo Valenta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Crash Bandicoot!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandicoot closes the distance but Valenta moves to the side

and Valenta counters with a shoot takedown. Bandicoot fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Bandicoot escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Valenta gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bandicoot is looking for a triangle but Valenta pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bandicoot has his foot on Valenta's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Valenta works his way back into a safe position though.

We've been hearing that Valenta has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Bandicoot throws his legs up looking for a submission but Valenta uses it to pass to side control.
Valenta looks up at the clock and then as Bandicoot takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Valenta smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Valenta lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bandicoot down.
Valenta laying and praying for a moment but Bandicoot takes advantage and regains half guard.
Bandicoot wants to control but Valenta is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bandicoot is looking to improve his position.

Valenta working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Valenta is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bandicoot doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Valenta.

Bandicoot moves in looking to clinch but Valenta pushes him off.
Bandicoot tries to clinch up but Valenta circles away and keeps his distance.

and Bandicoot takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Bandicoot doesn't manage to clinch there - Valenta circles away.
Bandicoot takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bandicoot is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bandicoot closes the distance and clinches up with Valenta, looking for a takedown. Bandicoot pushes Valenta against the cage but Valenta circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Valenta looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bandicoot with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Valenta is nestled in close to Bandicoot, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bandicoot enables Valenta to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bandicoot manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Well Valenta has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Lorenzo Valenta spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
