Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buzz Sawyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Georges St Pierre! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre has his takedown stuffed and Sawyer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. St Pierre takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
St Pierre looks for a takedown but Sawyer sprawls well. St Pierre gets a takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sawyer is trying to get back to full guard. St Pierre wants to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre wants to control but Sawyer is keeping him busy. St Pierre is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Sawyer is in trouble now - St Pierre has advanced to mount! Sawyer is trying desperately to improve position. Sawyer looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. St Pierre with shots to the head and body - Sawyer looks very uncomfortable down there. St Pierre wants to control the pace but Sawyer is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. St Pierre prevents Sawyer from getting the reversal. Sawyer slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Sawyer is staying active underneath St Pierre, who seems content to just control the action from this position. St Pierre wants to pass to mount but Sawyer is defending the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! St Pierre trying to control from half guard but Sawyer is working away. St Pierre works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Pierre controlling from mount. St Pierre looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. St Pierre is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sawyer can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
St Pierre has hold of Sawyer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sawyer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Sawyer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St Pierre looking to secure an arm triangle but Sawyer defends it well. St Pierre trying to control but Sawyer is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sawyer squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. St Pierre tries to control but Sawyer wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Georges St Pierre dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Oooooh!!! Sawyer has knocked St Pierre down with a huge combo! Sawyer steps away and waves a wobbly St Pierre back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Georges St Pierre has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! St Pierre gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Sawyer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
St Pierre is rocked! St Pierre fails to land the takedown. St Pierre looks to land a right hand but Sawyer moved out of range. Decent striking displayed by Sawyer there. St Pierre is still on wobbly legs! Can Sawyer finish him? Sawyer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sawyer wants it to stay on the feet. We've been informed that St Pierre has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Buzz Sawyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georges St Pierre. St Pierre closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. St Pierre with a lazy takedown attempt and Sawyer counters with a right hand from hell and St Pierre is out cold! A vicious knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Buzz Sawyer! Buzz Sawyer seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. In defeat, Georges St Pierre stepped up to the mic, saying 'I need to make a point now. I can't sleep at night. I'm going crazy. I need to relax. I need to get out for awhile. I don't know what I'm gonna do. I feel like I left everything out, but I need to keep some of my life personal...'.
