The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Combs trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Combs kicks Tyler off and gets to his feet.

Combs is trying to control Tyler's posture but Tyler avoids it.
Combs tries to improve position but can't.
Combs is not content to let Tyler control the position.

Combs throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

Tyler is trying to get an arm triangle but Combs is defending well.
Combs is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Combs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
You can see the frustration on Combs's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Combs might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Combs is not content to let Tyler control the position.
Combs holds on to Tyler's head and controls the position momentarily.

Combs shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tyler napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Tyler takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Tyler tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Combs presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Tyler has hold of Combs's hands but Combs slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Combs is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Combs is taking a breather. Tyler says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tyler is breathing heavily.
Combs has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Combs takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Combs fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Combs has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Combs has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tyler's face.
