Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cleveland Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Frengar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Frengar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cleveland Cox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ben Frengar!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Frengar shoots in and bounces Cox off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Frengar is in close to Cox's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Frengar trying to control but Cox is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cox is working an open guard so Frengar takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Frengar closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cox's guard.
Frengar connects with a couple of short punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Frengar trying to control the position from guard on top but Cox is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Frengar is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Cox will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Frengar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Frengar gets a clinch.
Frengar putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Cox in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Cox is breathing heavily.

Frengar has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cox uses from the top position.
Frengar wants to sweep here but Cox controlling him for the moment.

Frengar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cox defends well.

Frengar isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cox stacks Frengar on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cox!
Frengar tries to bench press Cox off him but Cox keeps the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cox tries to get to his feet but Frengar is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Cox in his guard.

Frengar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cox is aware though and is defending well.

Frengar is looking to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ben Frengar dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Frengar shoots for a double leg takedown but Cox sprawls well. He's pushed Frengar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cox keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cleveland Cox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Frengar.

Cox tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Frengar counters with a nice body kick.
Frengar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cox avoids it really well and circles away.
Cleveland Cox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Horrible takedown by Cox or perhaps it was just good defense by Frengar which made him look bad.

Cox rushes Frengar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Frengar is pressed up against the cage. Cox has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Frengar down to the mat. Frengar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Cox lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Frengar backs up against the cage.
Frengar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Cox shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A thudding body kick lands there by Frengar!

Frengar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cox on his heels. He'll look to pass Cox's guard now, I'm sure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Frengar stands up and waves to Cox to follow him.

Frengar jumps guard but Cox stands there with Frengar around his waist. Frengar gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Cox tries a head kick but it misses.
Frengar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cox swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Frengar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cox but Cox pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cox lands a slapping body shot.
Cox misses with a wild combination.
Cox dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cox moves into range and connects with a jab.
Cox fails with the takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cleveland Cox will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Cox displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Frengar.

Cox throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Frengar leaves Cox with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Frengar fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Frengar keeps the fight on the outside.
Cox fails with the takedown.
Cox lands with a nice combination. Frengar backs away looking to recover.
Cox looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Frengar is fending him off so far but Cox persists. Nope, Frengar circles away and we're back to standing.

Frengar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cox was covering up waiting for the punch and Frengar finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ben Frengar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Frengar has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
