Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pat Barry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander Volkov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barry throws a sloppy head kick and Volkov moves out of range easily.
Barry pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Volkov slips a jab from Barry.
A head kick lands from Barry that sends Volkov to the canvas. Volkov tries to scramble back to his feet but Barry brings him back down into side control.
It looks like Alexander Volkov has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Volkov tries to bench press Barry off him but Barry keeps the position.
Volkov throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Volkov scores with a jab to the head.
Volkov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Barry.
Barry throws a sloppy head kick and Volkov moves out of range easily.
Barry misses with a left hand
and Volkov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A head kick by Barry - that's a beauty! Volkov is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Barry can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Pat Barry!
