Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chucky Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zerachiel Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chucky Vasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zerachiel Halo! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vasquez looks to land a combination but Halo avoids it well. Halo swats away the attempt to clinch by Vasquez. Halo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vasquez quickly recovers to half guard. Halo wants to pass the guard but Vasquez is defending well. Vasquez manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Halo keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Vasquez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Halo gets in close and instigates a clinch. Halo misses with an elbow over the top. Vasquez scores with a hook to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vasquez lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Vasquez avoiding damage as Halo throws knees to the body.
Vasquez breaks from the clinch.
Halo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vasquez, pushing him back against the cage. Vasquez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vasquez darts in and clinches Halo up against the cage. Halo keeps control of Vasquez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Halo tries a knee to the head but Vasquez blocks it.
Vasquez is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Halo is defending well for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasquez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Halo shoots in and bounces Vasquez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vasquez tries to land a sweep but no joy. Halo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vasquez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Halo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Vasquez throwing short punches from the bottom. Halo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasquez trying to strike off his back.

Halo trying to control but Vasquez is working from the bottom. Halo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vasquez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Halo won't allow Vasquez to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasquez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Zerachiel Halo. Vasquez tries to clinch but Halo moves away and Halo counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Vasquez is lucky that one didn't land flush. Vasquez throws a body punch but Halo moves out of range. Vasquez has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Halo. Halo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vasquez's guard. Vasquez is looking to stand up but Halo isn't so interested in that idea. Vasquez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Halo is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there. Halo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Vasquez is looking to stand back up but Halo counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Vasquez. Vasquez wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasquez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Vasquez throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Halo trying to control the position from guard on top but Vasquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Halo throws a big elbow that misses. Halo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Vasquez wants to stand and escape but Halo is having none of it. Halo sitting in guard, not really doing much. Halo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Halo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vasquez is keeping the position for now. Vasquez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ground and pound from Vasquez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasquez decides to return to a standing position. Vasquez drops Halo with a beautiful combination! Halo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Vasquez is looking for the KO!
It looks like Zerachiel Halo has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vasquez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Halo napping and manages to drive through into side control! Vasquez cracks Halo with a big elbow.
Halo is rocked! Halo tries to improve position but can't. Halo is still in real trouble! Can Vasquez finish him? Halo seems to have recovered his senses. Vasquez cracks Halo with an elbow. That is naaassty. Vasquez scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Halo is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Vasquez can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chucky Vasquez! After winning the bout, Chucky Vasquez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
