Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kanaka Roots (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hopkins comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "The Bridge Is Over" by Boogie Down Productions kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins tries to bum rush Roots with a series of wild strikes but Roots uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hopkins misses with the combination.
Roots is looking to clinch but Hopkins is avoiding it.
Roots scores with a leg kick.
Hopkins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hopkins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Roots.
Hopkins swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Roots counters with a nice leg kick.
Roots avoids a punch combination nicely.
Roots fails with the takedown.
Kanaka Roots seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roots shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hopkins sprawls well. Hopkins wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Roots gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kanaka Roots. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hopkins feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rootss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Roots wants to clinch.

Roots tries to clinch there but Hopkins circles away.
Hopkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Roots gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hopkins counters with a straight right hand.
Roots staying out of range there.
Roots shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hopkins as he jumps to the side.
Roots fails with an attempt to clinch.
Roots drops his hands momentarily and Hopkins takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Hopkins scores with a punch to the head.
Roots looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Roots shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Hopkins scores with a counter punch that sends Roots to the canvas! Hopkins smells blood - he's punishing Roots with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Roots has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
