Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn McShane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dan Henderson ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shawn McShane! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McShane swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Henderson throws a hook but McShane blocks it. A solid leg kick lands there for McShane.
Henderson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McShane. Henderson blocks a jab. Henderson throws a poor cross that misses
and McShane counters with a takedown into side control. McShane working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Henderson tries to improve position but can't. Henderson is working hard here to advance position. McShane working away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McShane trying to control the action but Henderson is working from the bottom. McShane tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McShane has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson taking punishment in the form of punches.
McShane trying to control the position but Henderson is working away. Henderson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. McShane trying to control the action but Henderson is working from the bottom. McShane cracks Henderson with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McShane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. McShane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Henderson keeps working. McShane postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
McShane tries to score with some ground and pound. Henderson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Henderson can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McShane misses with the ground and pound. Henderson wants to get back to his feet but McShane drags him back down. McShane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Henderson keeps working. McShane creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Henderson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Henderson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Henderson tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Henderson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McShane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. McShane works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. McShane is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Henderson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Henderson manages to work his way to half guard, despite McShane's best efforts. Henderson trying to control but McShane postures up.
McShane seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Henderson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. McShane wants to pass to mount but Henderson is defending the position. McShane looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
McShane has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Henderson wants to control but McShane passes into side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson tries to improve position but can't. Henderson is not content to let McShane control the position. McShane lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Henderson is looking for a sweep. McShane goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Henderson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McShane's guard! Nice work there by Henderson ! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shawn McShane dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Henderson throws a sloppy body shot
and McShane counters with a nice double leg into side control. Henderson won't be happy with that. Henderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McShane on the ground. McShane wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Henderson , who protects the arm well. McShane working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Henderson wants to control but McShane postures up. McShane looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. McShane trying to control the action but Henderson is working from the bottom. Shawn McShane has got the better of the ground game so far. Henderson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. McShane wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Henderson , who protects the arm well. McShane is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Henderson is trying to escape and McShane transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Henderson is forced to tap! Nice work there by McShane! Very nice indeed!
