Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glen Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Potz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Craig Potz told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Glen Jacobs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Craig Potz ! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potz tries to clinch but Jacobs moves out of range. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jacobs. Jacobs cracks Potz with a big right hand but Potz just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potz is not content to let Jacobs control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Potz can do anything to dispel that myth. Potz wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Potz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jacobs lands a decent elbow from side control. Potz can't do much from the bottom here. Potz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jacobs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Potz bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! This has been an exciting period of action! Potz wants to clinch up but Jacobs keeps it at a distance. Potz doesn't manage to clinch there - Jacobs circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobs keeps the fight on the outside. Jacobs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Potz 's guard. Jacobs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jacobs stands and throws Potz 's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jacobs in side control lands a decent elbow. Jacobs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jacobs misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Potz throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Jacobs cracks Potz with a big right hand but Potz just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Jacobs looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Potz is avoiding damage well.
Jacobs tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobs is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Potz is trying to escape and Jacobs transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Potz is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jacobs! Very nice indeed!
