Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buck Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mike rasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Rogers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rogers trying to control the position from guard on top but rasta is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
rasta wants to control the position but Rogers says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Rogers looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
rasta wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy.

Rogers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. rasta swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rogers slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
rasta keeping moving, preventing Rogers from controlling successfully.
Rogers keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of rasta's head.
rasta looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rogers is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Rogers postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rogers moves into the clinch.
Stalling in the clinch from rasta.
Rogers tries for a takedown. No joy.

rasta jumps guard.

rasta looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
rasta wants to stand but Rogers is controlling the position.
rasta can't keep his opponent in guard - Rogers advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Rogers wants to stand up but rasta is controlling the position.
rasta pushes Rogers off looking to stand but Rogers dives back in and keeps control.
Rogers is looking to advance position but rasta won't allow it.
rasta regains full guard. Nicely done.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Rogers decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Rogers counters with a nice double leg into side control. rasta won't be happy with that.
rasta stops Rogers from passing to mount.
rasta is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rogers's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Rogers is keen to just control but rasta is a slippery customer.

Buck Rogers dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Rogers swats away the attempt to clinch by rasta.

Rogers feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

rasta sneaks out the side door and pushes Rogers away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch but rasta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rogers is working for a kimura but rasta is defending it quite comfortably.
rasta is trying is best to control the position here.

Rogers trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but rasta manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
rasta postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
rasta is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

rasta is pushing down on Rogers's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rogers is fighting to maintain full guard but rasta has managed to sneak the leg through.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Buck Rogers dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Rogers fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and rasta counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by rasta.
rasta has Rogers pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rogers manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Rogers tries to score a body lock takedown but rasta shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

and Rogers counters with a single leg into guard. rasta didn't expect that.
Rogers throws a strike but rasta rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Buck Rogers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Rogers is trying to control the position from the bottom.

rasta pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rogers is keeping the position for now.

Rogers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Rogers manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rogers just misses with a punch to the body.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Rogers prevents rasta from getting back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Buck Rogers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of mike rasta.
rasta is staying active underneath Rogers, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Rogers gets to his feet. rasta looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

rasta wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
rasta tries to reverse the position but Rogers maintains control.
mike rasta has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Buck Rogers showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rogers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
