Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between JayDee Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Mamba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mamba has chosen Here Comes The Hotstepper as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Bobby Mamba told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn gets caught flat footed, as Mamba shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mamba slips nicely into half guard.
Penn is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mamba pulls his head out easily.
Mamba is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Penn doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mamba.
Penn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mamba trying to control the pace.

Mamba tries to pass the half guard into mount. Penn knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Mamba stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Mamba works his foot free and advances to mount.
Penn is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Mamba has taken his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mamba misses with an elbow to the head.
Penn staying busy and making it hard for Mamba to control.
Mamba working for a choke but Penn is defending well.
Penn tries to roll but Mamba sticks to his back.
Penn is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at The Cave Fighting Team, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

You can see the frustration on Penn's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Mamba tries to get the hooks in deep but Penn pushed the leg off.
Mamba controlling the position well here. Penn rolled but Mamba kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Penn tries to break free.
Penn is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Mamba gets his way!
Mamba is trying to stick to Penn's back but Penn is turning into Mamba. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Mamba's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Penn.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Penn lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Penn missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Mamba is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bobby Mamba has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mamba has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Penn defend it? Mamba steps over the head and cranks it - Penn is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Mamba!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Bobby Mamba!
After winning the bout, Bobby Mamba thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
