Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baby Firefly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Bricker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baby Firefly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Bricker! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bricker shoots in looking for a takedown. Firefly tries to sprawl out of it but Bricker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Firefly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bricker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bricker pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Firefly misses with a takedown attempt - Bricker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bricker misses with a double jab.
Firefly cracks a nice hook into Bricker's ribs. A decent looking cross lands there for Firefly. Firefly throws a one two combo.
It looks like Brian Bricker has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bricker fails to land the takedown. Firefly ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bricker moves away. Firefly fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bricker sprawls well initially but Firefly persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Firefly passes to full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Firefly throws some wild stikes that Bricker manages to avoid easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bricker has given up his back here.
Bricker looks gassed! Bricker defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Even with his hooks in, Firefly manages to miss with strikes from the back. Bricker tries to break free.
Firefly has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Firefly thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Bricker is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bricker is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Firefly is looking for the choke from the back position but Bricker is controlling his hands well. Bricker tries to roll but Firefly sticks to his back.
Firefly working for a choke but Bricker is defending well. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Firefly doesn't have the hooks in and Bricker manages to turn into his guard.
Firefly looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bricker is one step ahead there. Bricker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Firefly throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bricker uses it to pass to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Bricker are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Bricker tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Firefly is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bricker off and has taken his back! Bricker trying to get back to his feet but Firefly is in full control for now. Firefly biding his time, controlling Bricker. Firefly is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Bricker defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Bricker tries to roll but Firefly sticks to his back.
Firefly looking to break Bricker's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Bricker remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Firefly will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bricker showing good submission defense here.
Bricker trying to control the hands but Firefly breaks the grip. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Baby Firefly dominated that round. The cut man is working on Brian Bricker's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Firefly fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bricker staying out of range there. Firefly falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bricker counters with a nice body shot. Bricker ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Firefly feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bricker managing to control the position. Bricker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Firefly is one step ahead there. Bricker has his hands on Firefly's head, controlling the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bricker keeping moving, preventing Firefly from controlling successfully. Bricker tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bricker is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Firefly passes Bricker's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Bricker manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bricker is looking for a triangle but Firefly pushes his legs off easily.
Firefly passes Bricker's left leg - he's now in half guard. Firefly passes the guard and advances to mount! Firefly content just to control the position here. Bricker is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Firefly putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Firefly unloading with bombs! Firefly controlling the position easily from mount. Firefly throwing strikes here but Bricker is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Bricker gets back to half guard. Firefly looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Firefly is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bricker is just riding it out for now. Firefly eventually gives up the hold. Bricker looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bricker trying to hold on to Firefly's head to control him but Firefly postures up.
Bricker tries to get to full guard but Firefly has control of the leg. Firefly is trying to work for a kimura but Bricker is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bricker is trying to control Firefly's posture. Firefly takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Bricker! Firefly is rotating here... this could be the end... Bricker is out! Firefly has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
