Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 26 - 1, fighting out of London, Keast Kann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Sun Ra! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ra ducks under a wild hook from Kann. Kann throws a series of strikes that have Ra backpedaling.
Jab, jab by Kann - just one landing. Ra shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Ra connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Kann has been working on his boxing with his coaches at London MMA Club in the buildup to the fight. A nice inside leg kick there by Ra. That's going to slow Kann down. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kann fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ra manages to avoid it. Ra throws a nice outside leg kick. Ra takes a swing at Kann's ribcage but misses. Ra lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Kann moves into range and connects with a jab. Ra throws a head kick but Kann moves out of range.
Ra tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kann was well out of range. Poor timing from Ra. Ra misses with a head kick.
Ra throws a body kick that misses. Kann thuds a left hand into Ra's body. Kann throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ra changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Kann with that takedown attempt. Ra throws a right hand that Kann ducks under and follows up with a left that Kann also avoids with ease. Kann takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. We've been informed that Ra has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Ra tries to clinch but Kann moves out of range. Ra tries to clinch but Kann is having none of it. Kann loads up on a big right hand but Ra slips the punch. Ra misses with a body kick. Ra throws a quick inside leg kick. Ra gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kann keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ra's head. Kann cracks Ra with a solid left hand. Kann pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ra is keeping the position for now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kann postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ra is controlling Kann's posture. Kann working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kann throwing strikes from guard but Ra blocks nicely. Ra looking to control.
Kann pushing down on Ra's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Kann seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kann throwing shots but Ra is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kann lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ra is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kann scores with a couple of nice shots. Ra tries to get to full guard but Kann has control of the leg. Kann sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ra defending well though. Kann tries to pass to full mount but Ra defends it. Kann throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ra is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kann looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kann thows a huge punch but Ra dodges it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ra tries to get to full guard but Kann has control of the leg. Ra regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kann. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kann loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ra preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ra working a defensive guard here.
Kann throws a strike but Ra rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kann wants to sweep here but Ra controlling him for the moment. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Keast Kann dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ra on the wrong end of a nice hook. Ra connects with a solid leg kick. Ra tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kann was well out of range. Poor timing from Ra. Kann misses with a straight left. Ra displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kann throws out the jab. Ra misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ra moves out of range as Kann strikes. Kann on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kann misses with an uppercut
and Ra counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ra lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kann backs up against the cage.
Kann throws an overhand right that lands on Ra's shoulder, as Ra tries to avoid the shot. Kann avoids the head kick by Ra.
Kann misses with a takedown attempt - Ra sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kann loads up on a big right hand but Ra slips the punch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ra connects with an inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kann throws a lazy uppercut
and Ra counters with a good low kick that Kann was not able to check. Ra throws a sloppy head kick and Kann moves out of range easily. Kann throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ra closes the distance and pushes Kann back into the cage. Kann lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ra backwards. Kann pushes Ra back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Kann dodges an elbow strike from Ra.

A head punch on the inside from Kann fails to land. Kann lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kann lands a shoulder strike. Kann tries to pull guard but Ra forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Kann tries to pull guard but Ra holds him up against the cage and eventually Kann drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keast Kann. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice glancing elbow lands by Ra. Ra wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kann has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ra avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A short left from Kann.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ra tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kann avoids it. Kann escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kann dips to his left and cracks Ra with an uppercut! Kann takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Kann takes a jab right on the kisser.
Ra thumps Kann with a low kick. Ra misses with a leg kick. Kann avoids the head kick by Ra.
Ra changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Ra keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kann scores with a jab. Ra blocks a jab. An inside leg kick from Ra misses. Ra drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Kann throws out a loose jab but Ra uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ra misses with a body kick. Ra instigates a clinch. Kann tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Kann throws a punch but it's blocked by Ra. Ra swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kann is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. A nice glancing elbow lands by Ra. Kann escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sun Ra seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kann ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ra moves away. Kann throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ra sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ra is looking to slow Kann down with leg kicks. Kann displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Ra fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kann avoids it really well and circles away. Kann throws a lazy right hand but Ra sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A big left from Kann misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Kann. Kann lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ra pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kann is out of range and Ra settles back down. Kann throws a right hand that Ra ducks under and follows up with a left that Ra also avoids with ease. Kann avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Ra waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kann. Ra turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Kann's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kann duly obliges. Kann throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ra's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kann under the eye. Kann slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kann fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ra manages to avoid it. Kann moves out of range of the leg kick from Ra. Ra tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kann is able to avoid easily. Kann moves out of range of the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Keast Kann will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Ra scores with a takedown into Kann's guard. Ra wants to control from the top but Kann keeps moving. Kann trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Kann looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ra is one step ahead there. Kann will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Keast Kann overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ra seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kann looking for a sweep. Not yet Kann, not yet. Kann manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ra manages to get himself to full guard.
Ra avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kann cracks Ra with a solid left hand. Kann in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kann looking to pass the guard. Kann has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. That's two minutes gone in the round. Kann throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ra is pulling down on Kann's head to control his posture. Ra wants to sweep but no luck. Kann is looking to work some ground and pound but Ra has wrist control. Kann chips away with some ground and pound. Kann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ra swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ra controls Kann momentarily but Kann frees himself. Ra looking for a sweep. Not yet Ra, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kann trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ra manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Kann wants to sweep but no luck. Sun Ra has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ra must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kann manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ra manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ra controls Kann momentarily but Kann frees himself. Kann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ra swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kann throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kann wants to pass the guard but Ra is keeping the position. Kann working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kann pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ra is keeping the position for now. Ra avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Keast Kann showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kann has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
