Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Seth Probert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Eatthedragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Eatthedragon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seth Probert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob Eatthedragon!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eatthedragon moves out of range of the leg kick from Probert.
Eatthedragon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Probert closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Eatthedragon is trying to maintain the position but Probert is very close to passing his half guard.
Probert working over Eatthedragon with some ground and pound. Eatthedragon looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Probert works his way into full mount!
Probert takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Eatthedragon is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Probert looking to control and managing it successfully.
Eatthedragon throwing hammer fists to the chest of Probert. What's that going to do exactly?
Eatthedragon is working to get back to half guard.

Probert has control of Eatthedragon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Eatthedragon regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Eatthedragon wants to try and get back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Eatthedragon is in a horrible position here. Probert smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Probert pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eatthedragon is looking to improve his position but Probert isn't that keen on the idea.
Probert can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Eatthedragon is looking to escape.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Probert controlling the pace for now.

Eatthedragon is wriggling around trying to escape.
Eatthedragon tries to hold on but Probert postures up.
Eatthedragon tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Probert controlling the pace for now.
Probert has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Probert has hold of Eatthedragon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Eatthedragon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Probert is breathing heavily.
Eatthedragon working to try and regain half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Eatthedragon swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Eatthedragon can't escape the position.

Probert looking to secure an arm triangle but Eatthedragon defends it well.
Eatthedragon wants to hold on but Probert pushes him away.
Eatthedragon is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Eatthedragon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Eatthedragon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Eatthedragon is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Probert throws a sloppy head kick and Eatthedragon moves out of range easily.
Eatthedragon doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Probert counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Eatthedragon is trying to maintain the position but Probert is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eatthedragon is trying to stand up here but Probert is controlling him well.
Eatthedragon wants to improve his position but Probert is controlling well.

Probert slows the pace down in half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Probert fails with the takedown

and Eatthedragon counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Eatthedragon.
Probert keeping moving, preventing Eatthedragon from controlling successfully.

Eatthedragon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Probert is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Eatthedragon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Probert's head.
Eatthedragon content to stall in guard here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Probert gets the takedown into side control.

Eatthedragon throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

and Eatthedragon counters with a one-two to the body.

and Eatthedragon counters with a shoot takedown. Probert fights it but they end up in guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seth Probert. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Eatthedragon postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Seth Probert overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Probert looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Eatthedragon content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Eatthedragon lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The fight stays on the outside here - Eatthedragon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A combination from Probert does no damage.
Eatthedragon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Eatthedragon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Probert fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Eatthedragon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Eatthedragon flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Probert landing strikes from the mount and Eatthedragon is in trouble!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Probert controlling the position easily from mount.
Probert is landing with some decent strikes but Eatthedragon is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Eatthedragon is looking to get to half guard.
Eatthedragon tries to lock up and control but Probert gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Eatthedragon is looking to improve his position but Probert isn't that keen on the idea.
Probert controlling from mount.
Probert prevents Eatthedragon from getting the reversal.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Probert controlling the position easily from mount.
Eatthedragon really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
BOOM! Probert connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Eatthedragon is trying to escape the mount.
Eatthedragon regains half guard.
Probert passes to full mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Eatthedragon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Eatthedragon is pressing down on Probert's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Eatthedragon controls Probert momentarily but Probert frees himself.

Probert throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Eatthedragon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Probert manages to get himself to full guard.
Probert is trying to keep Eatthedragon in close.
Eatthedragon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Probert swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Probert controls Eatthedragon momentarily but Eatthedragon frees himself.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Eatthedragon trying to control the position from guard on top but Probert is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Eatthedragon wants to get up but he can't break Probert's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Seth Probert.
I think Probert has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
