Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cable Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Gaarlandt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cable Carson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Gaarlandt! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Carson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Carson throws an overhand right that lands on Gaarlandt's shoulder, as Gaarlandt tries to avoid the shot. Gaarlandt uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carson. Carson dives in for a single leg takedown but Gaarlandt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Gaarlandt tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Carson can't get the takedown.

Carson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gaarlandt regains guard immediately. Carson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Carson working some strikes from top position. Gaarlandt wants to stand but Carson is controlling the position. Carson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Gaarlandt is looking to stand up but Carson isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carson content to stall in guard here. Carson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Carson works over Gaarlandt with some ground and pound from guard. Gaarlandt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carson with a nice head shot there. Gaarlandt being controlled here, momentarily. Carson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gaarlandt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carson is working Gaarlandt over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Carson prevents Gaarlandt from getting back to his feet. Carson with a nice head shot there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carson passes Gaarlandt's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Carson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Gaarlandt tries to kick Carson off but Carson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gaarlandt is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Carson scores with a couple of nice shots.
Gaarlandt is rocked! Carson is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Gaarlandt is hurt! He's hurt bad - Carson fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Gaarlandt from any more punishment! Congratulations to Carson! Great finish!
