Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lionel Matias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Satoru Kitaoka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Matias might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Himno nacional argentino. Satoru Kitaoka looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lionel Matias! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoru Kitaoka! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matias moves into the clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Matias takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Matias gets control of Kitaoka's arms and successfully pulls guard. Matias will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kitaoka trying to control but Matias is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Matias looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Kitaoka trying to control the position from guard on top but Matias is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kitaoka is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Matias wants to get back to his feet but Kitaoka is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Satoru Kitaoka was stalling too much, according to the referee. Matias turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Matias scores with a takedown into Kitaoka's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kitaoka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Matias trying to control but Kitaoka is working from the bottom. Kitaoka looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Matias scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kitaoka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kitaoka controlling Matias's posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Satoru Kitaoka. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kitaoka tries to break free but Matias pushes him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matias manages to break the clinch.
Kitaoka misses with a straight left. Matias tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kitaoka sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matias somewhat. Kitaoka leaves Matias with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Matias closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kitaoka did well to prevent Matias getting side control. Kitaoka avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Matias. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Matias is working for a submission of some sort.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kitaoka is refusing to be controlled, as Matias sits in half guard. Matias throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kitaoka trying to control from the bottom.
Matias wants to work for an arm triangle but Kitaoka is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kitaoka has hold of Matias's hands but Matias slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kitaoka controlling the position well. Matias is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Matias seems to be looking for submissions.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Matias wanted to stand there but Kitaoka had control of the position. Matias trying to control but Kitaoka is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kitaoka looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kitaoka has momentary wrist control but Matias slips an elbow through the middle. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kitaoka is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Matias rolls with it to try and escape but Kitaoka cranks on the arm and Matias is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
