Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Lock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scott Walker! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lock fails with a takedown attempt. Walker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lock paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Walker. Lock looks to land a left hand but Walker moved out of range nicely. Lock fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Walker walks into a jab.
It looks like Scott Walker has been cut. Lock missing with a left hand there. Walker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Walker ducks right into an uppercut from Lock. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Walker uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Walker connects with a body shot that sends Lock's belly button to the back. Lock misses with a wild combination.
Walker listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Lock waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Walker. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Walker to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Walker is rocked! Lock is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Walker is still in real trouble! Can Lock finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because John Lock just wasn't active enough. Walker is aggressively charging in as Lock backs up avoiding any damage. Lock tosses out a jab and Walker runs right into it face first! Walker is out cold! Lock dropped down on all fours and is barking in Walker's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Lock!
