Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Coalman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jet Li! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coalman stalks Li and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Li's face. Li staggers backwards, shaken. Li swats away the attempt to clinch by Coalman. Jet Li seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coalman ducks under a wild hook from Li. Li connects with the punch. Li catches Coalman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Coalman gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Coalman just leaning against Li, taking a breather. Coalman landing knees to the head.

Coalman seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Coalman looking to throw knees to the head but Li is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Li working hard to break the clinch. Li's coach down at Alpha Elite Private Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Li's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Li avoiding damage as Coalman throws knees to the body.

Coalman has Li pushed against the cage. Coalman crunches a lovely knee into Li's ribcage. Li is looking to break free of the clinch but Coalman has double underhooks. Coalman controlling the action here for a moment.
Coalman looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Coalman missing with knees to the body.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Coalman gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Coalman trying to land knees to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Li working hard to break the clinch. Coalman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Li's efforts to push away. Good body shot from Li.

Coalman clinches. Coalman manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Li pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A lazy left from Li finds it's target. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Coalman tries to clinch but Li moves out of range. Li misses with a double jab.
Li takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Li scores with a punch to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mark Coalman will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Coalman is rocked! A lazy left from Li finds it's target. Oh Coalman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Li cracks Coalman with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Coalman falls to his knees and Li doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jet Li!
