Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leo Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russian Experiment II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Russian Experiment II! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paul tries to clinch up. Paul fails with the takedown. Paul misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Experiment II tries to clinch up but Paul circles away and keeps his distance. Paul fails with a takedown attempt. Paul fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Paul. That's going to take a lot out of him. Experiment II thuds his right hand into Paul's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Russian Experiment II seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paul closes the distance looking to clinch and Experiment II counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Experiment II. Paul is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Experiment II manages to break the clinch.
Paul shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Experiment II pinned against the cage. Experiment II gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Experiment II throws a right hand that Paul ducks under and follows up with a left that Paul also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul fails with the takedown and Experiment II counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Experiment II. Experiment II has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Paul regains guard immediately. Experiment II slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Experiment II thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Paul wants to control but Experiment II passes easily into half guard.
Experiment II passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Paul! Experiment II controlling from the full mount.

Experiment II sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Paul has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Paul might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Paul is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Experiment II.
I looks like Experiment II might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Experiment II has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Paul's body.
Experiment II's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Paul grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Experiment II not allowing Paul to control his hands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Experiment II controlling from the back.
Despite being in the dominant position, Russian Experiment II just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Experiment II looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Paul shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Experiment II counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Experiment II looks gassed! Paul looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Experiment II is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Paul working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Experiment II. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Russian Experiment II dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Paul tries to clinch and Experiment II moves into the clinch. Paul wants to break the clinch but can't.
Experiment II wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Paul has him pressed against the cage. Paul fails to pull guard.

Paul wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Experiment II is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Paul escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Paul shoots in but Experiment II avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Paul. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paul tries for a takedown but Experiment II circles away easily and Experiment II counters with a three punch combo that has Paul backing up. Paul nods at Experiment II to acknowledge the strikes. Experiment II is breathing heavily. Experiment II is looking to clinch. Experiment II tries to clinch but Paul moves out of range. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Experiment II crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Paul - the referee stops the clock and Experiment II gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Paul. Experiment II manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Paul slips a jab and a cross from Experiment II.
Horrible takedown by Paul or perhaps it was just good defense by Experiment II which made him look bad.

Experiment II keeps control of Paul as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Paul looking to slow down the pace here. Paul breaks the clinch.
Paul tries to clinch up but Experiment II circles away and keeps his distance. Leo Paul is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Paul fails to land the takedown. Paul shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Experiment II but Experiment II pushes him off and we're back to square one. Paul with a poor takedown and Experiment II counters with a takedown into side control. Experiment II happy to just control the position for now. Experiment II prevents Paul from escaping the position.

Russian Experiment II showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Paul tries to clinch up. Paul wants to clinch. Experiment II shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Paul pinned against the cage. Paul gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Paul fails to land the takedown. Experiment II takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

And that's the end of the fight! Russian Experiment II comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Experiment II has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
