Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bulan Cordit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lemy Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cordit comes to the cage accompanied by System Of A Down - Chop Suey!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bulan Cordit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lemy Waters! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cordit fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Cordit will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cordit really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A looping hook to the body misses from Cordit. Waters does a little dance to reset his feet. Cordit dives in for a single leg takedown but Waters sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bulan Cordit. That's going to take a lot out of him. A frustrated look appears on Cordit's face as he tries to break the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Waters. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Waters has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Cordit jumps guard but Waters stands there with Cordit around his waist. Cordit gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

It looks like Bulan Cordit has been cut. Waters working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Cordit has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Waters after a bit of a struggle. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Waters gets through Cordit's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Waters scores with an uppercut up the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cordit is trying to break the clinch but Waters is controlling him. Waters lands an elbow inside that Cordit shrugs off. Cordit is looking to break free of the clinch but Waters has double underhooks. Cordit has had enough of the clinch but Waters keeps him there for the moment. Cordit is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Waters to keep the fight standing. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Waters as Cordit tries to tie him up. Waters effectively controlling the action here. Waters lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Waters lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Cordit or not. Cordit is looking to break free of the clinch but Waters has double underhooks. Waters lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Cordit or not. Waters jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Waters keeping full guard, as Cordit tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Waters seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cordit has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Waters is proving hard to escape from.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cordit takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Cordit walks into a stiff left hand from Waters. A low kick from Cordit is predictable there and Waters counters with a single leg into guard. Cordit didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Waters connects with a couple of short punches. Cordit is breathing heavily. Waters makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Waters postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waters is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Cordit is rocked! Waters postures up in Cordit's guard and throws a big left but Cordit blocks it. Oh Cordit is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Waters controls from within his opponent's guard. Cordit seems to have got his legs back now. Waters pushes down on Cordit's leg and manages to get into half guard. Waters lands with a punch from half guard. Waters working Cordit over with strikes. Waters has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cordit defend it? Waters steps over the head and cranks it - Cordit is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Waters!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lemy Waters! Lemy Waters decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. Bulan Cordit spoke after the fight, saying 'Fuck u All!!!'.
