Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bibo has taken the fight to the clinch.
Maxwell is trying to break the clinch but Bibo has him pressed against the cage.
Bibo gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Maxwell regains guard.
Bibo won't allow Maxwell to get back to his feet.
Maxwell wants to sweep but no luck.
Maxwell pushes Bibo off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Maxwell has closed the distance and engaged Bibo in a clinch.
Bibo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Maxwell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bibo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bibo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maxwell swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that August Maxwell will probably get the nod.

August Maxwell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bibo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Maxwell defends well.

Bibo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Maxwell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bibo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dongo Bibo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Maxwell in particular looking to stall.
August Maxwell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to August Maxwell.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Maxwell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
