Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucius Thornton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Longbottom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Lucius Thornton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Longbottom! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Longbottom misses with a takedown and Thornton counters by moving into the clinch. Thornton wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Longbottom has him pressed against the cage. Longbottom wants to take the fight to the mat but Thornton manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Thornton tries to score a body lock takedown but Longbottom shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Thornton drops down looking for an ankle pick but Longbottom pulls his leg out and moves away.
Longbottom gets a double leg takedown into Thornton's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Thornton is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Longbottom postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thornton trying to control the position.
Longbottom working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Longbottom chips away with some ground and pound. Longbottom landing with the ground and pound. Longbottom in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Longbottom trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Thornton manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Longbottom working for a triangle but Thornton defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Thornton controls from within his opponent's guard. Longbottom looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Longbottom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Thornton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Thornton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Thornton prevents Longbottom from getting back to his feet. Longbottom is looking to sweep but instead, Thornton has passed into half guard.
Longbottom is looking for a sweep. Thornton is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Thornton is looking to take a break and control but Longbottom is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Thornton seems content to control. Longbottom scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Thornton manages to mount him!
Longbottom tries to lock up and control but Thornton gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Longbottom is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Thornton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Longbottom is looking to escape. Longbottom can't escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Longbottom regains half guard. Longbottom tries to get to full guard but Thornton has control of the leg. The fighters are battling for position here. Longbottom manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Longbottom is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thornton is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Longbottom looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Longbottom can do anything to dispel that myth. Longbottom is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Thornton won't allow Longbottom to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Thornton postures up.

Jim Longbottom dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Longbottom fails with a takedown attempt. Longbottom throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Thornton was covering up waiting for the punch and Longbottom finishes the takedown easily into guard. Longbottom trying to control the position from guard on top but Thornton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Thornton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Longbottom is aware though and is defending well. Longbottom with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Longbottom distracts Thornton with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
It looks like Lucius Thornton has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Longbottom wants to control from the top but Thornton keeps moving. Longbottom working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Lucius Thornton's cut is getting worse. Longbottom must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Longbottom throws a big elbow that misses. Longbottom throws a big elbow that misses. Longbottom throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Thornton seems keen to control Longbottom's posture. Longbottom postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Longbottom trying to control but Thornton is working from the bottom. Longbottom connects with a couple of short punches.
Lucius Thornton's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Longbottom postures up in Thornton's guard and throws a big left but Thornton blocks it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Thornton keeping moving, preventing Longbottom from controlling successfully. Longbottom working some strikes from top position.
Thornton is rocked! Longbottom postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Thornton covers up, he's hurt! Longbottom keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Longbottom and the ref steps in to end the fight! Longbottom can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jim Longbottom! A relieved looking Jim Longbottom thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
