Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Greger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vader is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Burn It To The Ground. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Klaus Greger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vic Vader!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Greger throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vader was covering up waiting for the punch and Greger finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Greger has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Vader looking to hit a scissor sweep but Greger is one step ahead there.
Vader working a defensive guard here.
Vader looking for a sweep. Not yet Vader, not yet.
Vader being controlled here, momentarily.
Vader is trying to keep Greger in close.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Vader shoots in for a takedown but Greger shows good takedown defense.

Vader drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Greger is looking to reverse the position.

Vader swings around for an armbar but Greger sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Vader's guard.
Greger controlling from the top position.
Vader wants to hit a switch here but Greger passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Vader there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vader can't escape the position.
Greger controlling his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Greger's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Klaus Greger just wasn't active enough.
Greger lands a front kick.
Greger blocks a head kick by Vader.

Greger closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
I was talking to Greger's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Greger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Vader shoots in for a takedown but Greger shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Greger pushes Vader away with a front kick.
Vader goes for a double leg but Greger avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Greger continues to drive forward.
Klaus Greger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vic Vader.
Vader looks winded!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Greger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vader should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Greger scores with a spinning back kick!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Greger, right into the meat.
Greger shoots in but no luck this time.
Vader has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Greger chopping away at his opponent's legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vader steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Greger. That one must have hurt.
Greger ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Vader finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Greger's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Vader falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Klaus Greger!
Klaus Greger decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
