Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauro Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gee Delton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delton has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Mauro Hansen has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mauro Hansen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gee Delton! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Delton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hansen swivels and escapes. Hansen closes the distance and clinches up with Delton, looking for a takedown. Hansen pushes Delton against the cage but Delton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Hansen slips a straight right by Delton. Hansen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Delton swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hansen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hansen misses with a takedown attempt - Delton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Delton tries to bum rush Hansen with a series of wild strikes but Hansen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Delton doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Delton looks winded! No luck for Delton with that takedown attempt. Hansen attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Hansen swings away with a leg kick that misses. Hansen fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauro Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hansen is defended easily by Delton.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen throws a low kick but Delton moves out of range easily. A bone on bone clash there as Hansen blocks the leg kick.
Hansen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hansen wants it to stay on the feet. Hansen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Horrible takedown by Hansen or perhaps it was just good defense by Delton which made him look bad. Delton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Delton breaks the clinch.
Hansen moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hansen lands with a good body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hansen thows a body shot but no joy. Nice takedown defense from Delton. No joy for Hansen on that attempt. Hansen tries to sprawl but Delton drives through with a takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hansen is concentrating on defense, preventing Delton from advancing position. Hansen tries to roll over but Delton keeps him under control. Delton trying to control the action but Hansen is working from the bottom. Hansen is trying to stand.
Delton is controlling the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Delton is stalling here. Hansen is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Delton seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hansen has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Delton manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Delton has a hand on Hansen's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hansen takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Delton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hansen trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hansen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Delton is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Hansen is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Delton has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hansen wants to control the pace but Delton is squirming around nicely. Delton tries to reverse the position but Hansen maintains control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hansen wants to control the pace but Delton is squirming around nicely. That was a close round but I would say that Mauro Hansen will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Delton throws a lazy uppercut
and Hansen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hansen fails with a takedown attempt. Mauro Hansen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hansen tries for a takedown but Delton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nice shot lands for Hansen. Delton moves in looking to clinch but Hansen pushes him off. Hansen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Delton defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauro Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hansen throws a nice looking combination but Delton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hansen has his takedown stuffed letting Delton counter with a right hand. Delton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hansen sprawls well initially but Delton persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Delton is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hansen actively working from the bottom here. Delton wants to take a breather but Hansen is having none of it. Delton might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hansen haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Delton working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Delton thows a huge punch but Hansen dodges it nicely.
Delton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hansen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Delton looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Hansen is not content to let Delton control the position. Hansen wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Gee Delton hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Hansen tries to clinch up but Delton circles away and keeps his distance. Delton tries to clinch there but Hansen circles away.
Delton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Delton goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Delton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hansen's waist but Hansen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Delton off to one side. Hansen dives in for a single leg takedown but Delton sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Hansen is looking to control Delton's arms but Delton gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hansen has his back to the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Hansen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Deltons head. Hansen trying to control the position but instead, Delton has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hansen into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Delton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hansen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hansen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hansen fails with the takedown. Delton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hansen napping and manages to drive through into side control! Hansen wants to control but Delton postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Delton staying calm. Hansen tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Delton presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hansen tries to hold on but Delton pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gee Delton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Delton catches Hansen with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Hansen drives through and clinches with Delton against the cage.
Delton tries for a takedown. No joy.
Hansen pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Hansen pulls Delton into guard.
Hansen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hansen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Delton postures up.
Delton wants to control from the top but Hansen keeps moving. Hansen throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hansen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Delton!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Delton is looking to get to half guard. Hansen sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hansen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hansen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hansen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Delton tries to reverse the position but Hansen maintains control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Delton blocking the ground and pound. Hansen looking to finish with strikes here!
And that's the end of the fight! Mauro Hansen showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hansen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
