And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Jigster!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Church shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jigster looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Church clinches up against the cage.
Jigster has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Church avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Church prevents the takedown attempt.
Church gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jigster.
Elvin Church has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Jigster.

Church pushes Jigster off and gets back to his feet.
Church shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jigster but Jigster pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Elvin Church has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Church looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jigster is fending him off so far but Church persists. Nope, Jigster circles away and we're back to standing.
Church dives in and grabs Jigster's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jigster pushes down on Church's head and hops out.
Jigster tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Church manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Church has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jigster after a bit of a struggle.

Church is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Church jumps into guard, dragging Jigster to the mat.

Jigster lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jigster's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Church throws a body kick that misses.
Church feints a jab promting Jigster to slip. Church then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jigster slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Church darts in looking for a takedown but Jigster gets double underhooks and turns Church into the cage.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Elvin Church.
Well Church has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
