Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Mogagga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Train will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mark Mogagga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Train!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Train throws a series of punches but Mogagga moves out of range.
Train misses with a series of wild punches.
Train misses with a jab, cross combination.
Train throws a right hand that Mogagga ducks under and follows up with a left that Mogagga also avoids with ease.
A combination from Train does no damage.
Train throws a series of punches but Mogagga moves out of range.
Train closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mogagga circles away.
Train throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Train fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Mogagga darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Mogagga has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Mogagga is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Train has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Mogagga wants to finish this one by submission but Train is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mogagga.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Train throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Train had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mogagga is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Train Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mogagga's back instead.
Mogagga rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Mogagga wants to pass to mount but Train is defending the position.

Train throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Mogagga escapes and throws Train's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Mogagga makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mogagga.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Mogagga feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Train throws a right hand that Mogagga ducks under and follows up with a left that Mogagga also avoids with ease.

Mogagga closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Train to the mat! Train manages to get full guard.
Train looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mogagga is one step ahead there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Mogagga feints and as Train raises his hands in defense, Mogagga changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Mogagga missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Mogagga might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mogagga avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Mogagga is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mogagga passes into half guard.
Train tries to roll over but Mogagga keeps him under control.

Mogagga is looking for a kimura but Train is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mogagga to get the leverage.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Mogagga has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
