Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aldo Amado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Panikos Papaioanou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aldo Amado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Panikos Papaioanou! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Papaioanou blocks a head kick by Amado.
Papaioanou drives through with a takedown into guard. Amado has his foot on Papaioanou's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Papaioanou works his way back into a safe position though. Papaioanou throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Amado works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Papaioanou is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Papaioanou tries to free his leg and advance position but Amado is retaining full guard. Papaioanou distracts Amado with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Papaioanou throws a strike but Amado rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Papaioanou looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Papaioanou escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Amado gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Amado trying to control the position from guard on top but Papaioanou is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Amado postures up.

Papaioanou is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Amado defends well. Papaioanou controls Amado momentarily but Amado frees himself. Amado got a little sloppy there for a moment and Papaioanou has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Amado has managed to get both his arms back between Papaioanou's legs - danger averted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Amado wants to control from the top but Papaioanou keeps moving. Papaioanou working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Amado doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Amado manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Aldo Amado. Amado scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Panikos Papaioanou has been cut. Amado lunges at Papaioanou with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Papaioanou's hand. Papaioanou fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Amado avoids it really well and circles away. Amado looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Papaioanou avoids a punch combination nicely.
Amado defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Papaioanou. Amado connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Amado looks to land a left hand but Papaioanou moved out of range nicely. Amado misses with a series of wild punches.

Papaioanou fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Amado manages to avoid it. A head kick misses from Amado. Horrible takedown by Papaioanou or perhaps it was just good defense by Amado which made him look bad. Aldo Amado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Panikos Papaioanou. Amado drops Papaioanou with a left right combo! Amado follows him down to the ground into side control.
Papaioanou is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Amado tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Amado has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Papaioanou is still in real trouble! Can Amado finish him? Papaioanou can't do much from the bottom here. Amado is trying to get an arm triangle but Papaioanou is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aldo Amado will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Panikos Papaioanou's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Amado. Papaioanou seems to have recovered his senses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Papaioanou is defended easily by Amado. Nice sprawl there from Amado as Papaioanou shoots in. Papaioanou changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Amado tries to avoid it but Papaioanou manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Amado to the ground. Amado escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Aldo Amado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Panikos Papaioanou. Papaioanou misses with a takedown attempt - Amado sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Papaioanou takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Amado is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Papaioanou like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Papaioanou from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aldo Amado! Aldo Amado was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
