Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garik Harlamov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armando Quetzalcoatl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quetzalcoatl comes into a darkened arena with his song building. J-Lo : On the Floor kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Garik Harlamov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Armando Quetzalcoatl! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quetzalcoatl tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Harlamov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Quetzalcoatl throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Harlamov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Quetzalcoatl stuffs the takedown. Quetzalcoatl tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Harlamov tries for a takedown but Quetzalcoatl sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garik Harlamov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Quetzalcoatl scores with a head kick. Harlamov tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Garik Harlamov has been cut. Quetzalcoatl tries to clinch up and Harlamov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Quetzalcoatl won't be happy with that. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Quetzalcoatl is trying to get back to his feet. Harlamov fails to land a wild elbow strike.
We've been hearing that Harlamov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Quetzalcoatl really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harlamov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Harlamov working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Harlamov cracks Quetzalcoatl with a big right hand but Quetzalcoatl just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Quetzalcoatl is not content to let Harlamov control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quetzalcoatl wants to get back to his feet. Harlamov landing a few strikes. Harlamov trying to control the action but Quetzalcoatl is working from the bottom. Harlamov working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Harlamov scores with a couple of short elbows.
It looks like Armando Quetzalcoatl has been cut. Quetzalcoatl dodges the ground and pound from Harlamov. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harlamov throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quetzalcoatl on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That has opened up Armando Quetzalcoatl's cut even more. Harlamov has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Quetzalcoatl is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Harlamov yanks on the arm and Quetzalcoatl is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Harlamov.
