Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, No Pain No Gain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, John Caron!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caron closes the distance and clinches.
No Gain swings away with an uppercut that misses.
No Gain misses with some punches.
No Gain keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Caron's efforts to push away.
Caron misses with a hook from the clinch.
A right hand to the body from Caron.
Caron lands a nice uppercut.
Caron dodges an elbow strike from No Gain.
Caron changes levels and goes for a takedown here. No Gain fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Caron lunges at No Gain with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by No Gain's hand.


It looks like No Pain No Gain has been cut.
Caron keeps the fight on the outside.
No Gain moves out of range of the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

No Gain moves into the clinch.
A short right from Caron on the inside.
No Gain definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
No Gain misses with a hook from the clinch.
Caron is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
No Gain swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Caron blocks an elbow strike.
Caron struggles to land a body shot inside as No Gain controls his hands.
Caron lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No Gain stalling.
Caron blocks an elbow strike from No Gain.
No Gain swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Caron jumps guard and drags No Gain to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Caron is trying to control the position but No Gain postures up.

No Gain has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Caron to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! No Gain is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Caron pulls down on the head and he's put No Gain to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). John Caron!
