The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medvedev stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Medvedev wants it to stay on the feet.
Popov dives in for a single leg takedown but Medvedev sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
