0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dominikkk Dostal! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good exchange - Caldwell coming out on top. Dostal tries a low kick but Caldwell avoids it. Caldwell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Caldwell doesn't manage to clinch there - Dostal circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Caldwell. Those never looked like landing. Dostal shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dostal showed some decent athleticism there. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Dostal perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Dostal should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Caldwell is trying to maintain the position but Dostal is very close to passing his half guard. Dostal slows the pace down in half guard.

Dominikkk Dostal has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Dostal feints and as Caldwell raises his hands in defense, Dostal changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dostal wants to control from the top but Caldwell keeps moving. Dostal might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Caldwell haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Dostal wants to stand but Caldwell has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Caldwell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dostal feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dostal trying to control but Caldwell is working from the bottom.

Caldwell lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A momentary lapse in concentration from Caldwell enables Dostal to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Caldwell manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Dostal tries to free his leg and advance position but Caldwell is retaining full guard. Caldwell being controlled here, momentarily. Dostal has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Caldwell is proving hard to escape from. Dostal tries to move to mount but Caldwell blocks the move with his legs. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Caldwell is not content to let Dostal control the position. Dostal seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Caldwell has recovered full guard. Caldwell looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Caldwell controls Dostal momentarily but Dostal frees himself. Dostal seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Caldwell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Dostal performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dominikkk Dostal. Well Dostal has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
