The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bonapart.
McBorin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McBorin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bonapart keeps working.
McBorin passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Bonapart!
McBorin tries to control but Bonapart wriggling away.
Bonapart is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bonapart slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
McBorin lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bonapart is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Warrior MMA and Fitness that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Bonapart is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bonapart is trying to control but can't.

McBorin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
McBorin throwing shots but Bonapart is blocking nicely.
McBorin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bonapart keeps working.

McBorin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bonapart's head.
Bonapart manages to get to full guard.
McBorin lands a couple of elbows.
McBorin pushes down on Bonapart's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McBorin misses with a head shot. Bonapart uses the momentum to regain guard.

McBorin postures up.
Bonapart tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McBorin chips away with some ground and pound.
Bonapart keeping moving, preventing McBorin from controlling successfully.
Bonapart controls McBorin momentarily but McBorin frees himself.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McBorin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bonapart has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McBorin has managed to get both his arms back between Bonapart's legs - danger averted.
McBorin scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

McBorin wants to control from the top but Bonapart keeps moving.
McBorin stays in close to Bonapart's body and controls the position.
It looks like McBorin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
McBorin won't allow Bonapart to sweep him here.
McBorin postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Napoleon Bonapart.
Bonapart throws a nice looking combination but McBorin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bonapart closes the distance and clinches up with McBorin, looking for a takedown. Bonapart pushes McBorin against the cage but McBorin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bonapart throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McBorin swings for the body but Bonapart moves out of range.
A punch combination from McBorin misses.
A lazy left from McBorin finds it's target.
It looks like Napoleon Bonapart has been cut.
Bonapart lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McBorin circles away quickly and effectively.
Bonapart walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McBorin catches Bonapart napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Bonapart to the canvas!
McBorin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
McBorin wants to control from the top but Bonapart keeps moving.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McBorin wants to pass the guard but Bonapart is keeping the position.
McBorin pushes down on Bonapart's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Napoleon Bonapart's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bonapart gets tackled into the cage by McBorin. McBorin maintains the clinch.
McBorin scores with a nice hook to the head.
McBorin lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Bonapart looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Bonapart stalling in the clinch but McBorin improves position.

Bonapart tries to circle away but McBorin has him pinned against the cage.
Bonapart can't get the takedown.
Bonapart tries for a takedown but McBorin manages to get underhooks.
McBorin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and McBorin manages to end up in side control.
McBorin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

McBorin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bonapart is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
McBorin scores with a couple of short elbows.
McBorin in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
The ground and pound from McBorin seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Bonapart is pushing McBorin's head away, looking to escape. McBorin manages to hold on to the position though.
McBorin wants to control for a moment but Bonapart uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Bonapart wants to control but McBorin is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bonapart is staying active underneath McBorin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bonapart wants to get back to full guard.
McBorin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
McBorin moves into full mount! Bonapart won't be happy about that!
McBorin wants to control the pace but Bonapart is squirming around nicely.
McBorin lands a heavy elbow.

Bonapart wants to hold on but McBorin pushes him away.

McBorin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bonapart looks a forlorn figure.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Napoleon Bonapart's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
