The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papadopoulos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Matah moves away.
Papadopoulos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Matah lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Papadopoulos looks to score with a jab to the body but Matah is just out of range.
Papadopoulos takes a swing at Matah's ribcage but misses.
Matah closes the distance and clinches up with Papadopoulos, looking for a takedown. Matah pushes Papadopoulos against the cage but Papadopoulos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Papadopoulos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Papadopoulos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Matah manages to avoid it.
Matah shoots in and bounces Papadopoulos off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Matah is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Papadopoulos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Matah is one step ahead there.
Matah trying to control the position from guard on top but Papadopoulos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Matah drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Matah jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Papadopoulos tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Matah wants to pass the guard but Papadopoulos is keeping the position.
Papadopoulos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Papadopoulos tries to get out of the position.
Papadopoulos can't keep his opponent in guard - Matah advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
My spies in Steel Penn Icon Training Grounds inform me that Matah has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Matah is taking a breather. Papadopoulos says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Papadopoulos tries to roll over but Matah keeps him under control.
Matah passes the guard and advances to mount!
Papadopoulos tries to reverse the position but Matah maintains control.
Matah tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Papadopoulos is trying to reverse the position but instead Matah has taken his back - oops!
Matah is persistently looking for the submission but Papadopoulos is defending it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Papadopoulos tries to break free.
Well, with Matah on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Papadopoulos is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Matah lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Papadopoulos defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Papadopoulos breaks Matah's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Papadopoulos is sitting in close to Matah's body. Matah has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Papadopoulos is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Papadopoulos is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Matah.
