Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lee Maokhamphiou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon GM (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maokhamphiou kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 300 Violin Orchestra. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maokhamphiou looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Maokhamphiou seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Maokhamphiou connects with a jab.
GM throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Maokhamphiou throws a hook to the side of GM's head but GM sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and GM counters by clinching up.
GM wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Maokhamphiou tries to work over GM's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

GM fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maokhamphiou manages to avoid it.
GM lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

GM is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

GM scores with a one two! Maokhamphiou had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
No joy there for GM, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Maokhamphiou has closed the distance and engaged GM in a clinch.

Maokhamphiou is really struggling to find his range with his punches. GM's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

GM has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Maokhamphiou swings wildly with an uppercut but GM uses good head movement to avoid it.

GM wants to get back to striking at distance but Maokhamphiou won't allow it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

GM is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Maokhamphiou rather than just go for the knockout.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lee Maokhamphiou will probably get the nod.

GM throws a right and a left that both miss.
GM stalks Maokhamphiou and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Maokhamphiou's face. Maokhamphiou staggers backwards, shaken.
GM lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by GM.

Maokhamphiou is rocked!
GM connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Maokhamphiou! He's out on his feet! GM rushes in and drops Maokhamphiou with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
