The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Rodriguez moves to clinch but Freitas breaks away
and Freitas counters with a head kick. That will keep Rodriguez thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Rodriguez is looking to clinch but Freitas is avoiding it.
Rodriguez lands a jab to the head.
Rodriguez doesn't manage to clinch there - Freitas circles away.
Rodriguez's jab looks to have found its range, popping Freitas under the eye.
The fighters circling - Rodriguez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Freitas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Carlos Rodriguez spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
