The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Westen swinging wildly here.
Maokhamphiou fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Westen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Maokhamphiou dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Westen. That did some damage!
Gary Westen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maokhamphiou moves into the clinch.

Maokhamphiou drops Westen onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Westen is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Maokhamphiou creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Westen's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Westen drops to his knees and Maokhamphiou pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
