Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Roman Goodman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yam Seng!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Seng shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Goodman is trying to defend but Seng finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Goodman connecting with a few gentle strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Seng drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Seng jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Seng lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Seng trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goodman throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Seng stands and throws Goodman's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Seng thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Goodman is trying to work for a sweep but Seng has mounted him!
Goodman wants to control but Seng is having none of it.

Seng is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Goodman to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Goodman shrugs it off.

Goodman can't escape the position.

Goodman defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Seng.
Seng won't let Goodman get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Seng wants to finish this one by submission but Goodman is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Seng.
Seng tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.

Seng looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Seng looking to control but Goodman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Goodman is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Goodman tries to control Seng's body but Seng pushes him off. Goodman squirms to his side and now Seng has his back!

Seng has his opponent's back but Goodman is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Seng.
Seng takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Seng shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Goodman napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Goodman throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Goodman wants to get back to his feet.

Seng wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Goodman, who protects the arm well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yam Seng dominated that round.

Goodman throws a head kick that misses.
Roman Goodman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Seng closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Seng is thwarting Goodman's attempts to control the position.

Seng seems to be working for a kimura but Goodman defends the submission attempt.

Goodman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Seng is working away from the top position though.
