Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Russ Rutger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sten Biller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rutger's entrance music is Hall & Oates - Out of Touch. A fine choice. Biller has chosen Lützenkirchen- Nutcracker as his entrance music. Sten Biller has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
29 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Russ Rutger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
40 - 30 - 0, fighting out of London, Sten Biller!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutger pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rutger misses with a two punch combination.
Rutger swings for the body but Biller moves out of range.
Rutger leaves Biller with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Biller changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rutger tries to avoid it but Biller manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rutger to the ground. Rutger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Biller doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rutger counters with a series of strikes. Biller will be more careful next time no doubt.
Russ Rutger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sten Biller.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Biller is defended easily by Rutger.
Biller throws a wild body kick that Rutger sees coming a mile off.
Rutger throws a head kick but Biller moves out of range.

and Rutger holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Rutger lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Biller or not.
Rutger's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Biller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rutger but Rutger pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Biller wants to clinch up but Rutger keeps it at a distance.
Biller shoots for a double leg takedown but Rutger sprawls well. He's pushed Biller's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Biller displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rutger throws out the jab.
Biller takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rutger will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Biller up against the cage.

Sten Biller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Biller darts in looking for a takedown but Rutger gets double underhooks and turns Biller into the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Biller's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Rutger lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Biller throws a knee to the head but misses.
Rutger tries a body shot but Biller blocks it.

Biller tries to pull guard but Rutger won't allow it.
Rutger throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Billers head.
Biller is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rutger is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Biller.
Biller wants to take the fight to the mat but Rutger manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Biller tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Rutger digs a right hand into Biller's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Biller's gas tank.
Biller throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rutger blocks it with crossed arms.
Biller is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rutger pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Biller has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rutger after a bit of a struggle.
Rutger lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Rutger makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A nice right hand lands inside from Rutger.
Rutger blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Biller is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Rutger breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Rutger counters with a low kick, right behind Biller 's knee.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rutger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rutger dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rutger drops Biller with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Biller looks back up at him and smiles so Rutger waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rutger looks to land a left hand but Biller moved out of range nicely.
Biller tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rutger swivels and escapes.

and Rutger counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Biller uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rutger.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rutger has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Biller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Biller passes Rutger's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rutger slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
We've been hearing good reports from Rutger's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Biller drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rutger dives on top into guard.
Rutger wants to control from the top but Biller keeps moving.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Biller is squirming around, avoiding Rutger's attempts to control the action.
Rutger has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
BOOM! Rutger connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Biller closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rutger to the mat! Rutger manages to get full guard.
Biller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rutger swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Rutger working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Biller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Biller manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Oooooh!!! Rutger has knocked Biller down with a huge combo! Rutger steps away and waves a wobbly Biller back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Rutger shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Biller takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Rutger sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Biller bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
