Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brownie Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Staller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson's entrance music is tim finnegans. A fine choice. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brownie Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Staller!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Staller closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Staller lands in his opponent's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Anderson is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Gentlemanly Scholars Fight Club Gym(4 Sprbt 4*+)(1 that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Staller has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Anderson is working away from the top position though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Staller wants to sweep here but Anderson controlling him for the moment.

Patrick Staller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Brownie Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Staller.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Staller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Anderson pushes Staller off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Anderson leaves Staller with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Anderson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Staller to the ground. Anderson is now in Staller's guard.
Anderson wants to stand but Staller has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Staller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Staller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Anderson is looking to stand but Anderson has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Brownie Anderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Anderson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Staller has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Staller!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brownie Anderson.
I think Staller has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
