Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Flyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edson Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Flyn! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edson Garcia! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flyn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Flyn wants to get up but he can't break Garcia's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The fighters are working up against the cage. Garcia manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Flyn has Garcia pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Flyn pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Garcia tumbling to the mat - Flyn dives into Garcia's guard. Garcia has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Flyn off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flyn moves to clinch but Garcia breaks away and Garcia counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Flyn wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flyn tries to kick Garcia off in order to stand up. Garcia Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Flyn is breathing heavily. Flyn is looking to get back to his feet here but Garcia is keeping cool and he's managed to take Flyn's back. Flyn controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Despite having Flyn's back, Garcia says stuff this ground business - let's go for a knockout! Flyn seems baffled but is happy to be out of the difficult position!
Flyn closes the distance looking to clinch and Garcia counters with a good, hard body kick but Flyn shrugs it off. Flyn swings and misses with a shot to the body and Garcia counters with an outside leg kick.
Flyn darts in trying to clinch and Garcia counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garcia gets to his feet - Flyn follows without any prompting. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Flyn throws a combination that misses and Garcia counters with a shoot takedown. Flyn fights it but they end up in guard. Garcia gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Garcia checks the leg kick. A combination from Flyn does no damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Flyn moves to clinch but Garcia breaks away and Garcia counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Garcia. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edson Garcia dominated that round. That's time! Flyn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Flyn misses with a combination
and Garcia counters with a single leg into guard. Flyn didn't expect that. Garcia prevents Flyn from getting back to his feet. Garcia decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Flyn shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Flyn tries to clinch up and Garcia counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Garcia breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flyn tries to clinch but fails miserably and Garcia counters with a nice double leg into side control. Flyn won't be happy with that. Flyn is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Garcia is controlling him well. Garcia stands up. Flyn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ryan Flyn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A punch combination from Flyn misses. Flyn misses with a left hand and Garcia counters by clinching up. Garcia breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flyn darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Garcia manages to escape and get back to his feet! Garcia tries to sprawl but Flyn drives through with a takedown into half guard. Garcia has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Flyn is on him like a limpet, forcing Garcia back against the cage. Garcia's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Garcia gets caught napping as Flyn dives in and scores a takedown. Garcia manages to retain guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia pushes Flyn off and scrambles back to his feet.
Flyn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Garcia counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Garcia gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Flyn closes the distance but Garcia moves to the side and Garcia moves into the clinch. Garcia pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Flyn tries to clinch but Garcia moves away and Garcia counters into the clinch. Nicely done. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Garcia's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flyn wants to clinch and Garcia counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Garcia. Garcia breaks the clinch.
Flyn darts in trying to clinch and Garcia counters with a takedown into side control. Garcia stands up and we're back to a striking position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Flyn throws an off balance right hand
and Garcia counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Flyn's guard now.
Flyn is rocked! Garcia decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Flyn, up you get! Oh Flyn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Flyn throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Garcia counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Garcia. Garcia escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Flyn closes the distance looking to clinch and Garcia changes levels and lands a brilliant counter slam that knocks Flyn senseless! The eyes are open but nobody's home! Garcia is victorious and celebrates with his fans in the crowd. Congratulations that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Edson Garcia! Edson Garcia is the new bantamweight champion! Edson Garcia bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
