Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zach Leduc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leduc comes to the cage accompanied by The Spirit Never Dies. Carlos has chosen Stronger as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zach Leduc! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Carlos! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlos closes the distance and clinches. Leduc drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Carlos using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Leduc has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Carlos lands a hook that snaps the head of Leduc backwards. Carlos tries a knee to the head but Leduc blocks it.
Carlos lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Carlos is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Leduc wants a takedown.
Leduc wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Carlos has him pressed against the cage. Carlos tries for a takedown. No joy.

Carlos lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Carlos tries to land a knee to the head but Leduc blocks with his arms.
Carlos goes for a takedown attempt but Leduc pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Zach Leduc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Carlos. Carlos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carlos lands in his opponent's guard. Leduc on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Leduc tries to get out of the position. Leduc bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carlos's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leduc wants to stand but Carlos has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Leduc won't allow Carlos to get back to his feet. Leduc wants to pass the guard but Carlos is keeping the position. Carlos avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Leduc throwing strikes but missing. Carlos bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Leduc's guard. Leduc is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Leduc keeping moving, preventing Carlos from controlling successfully. Carlos trying to stand up but can't free himself from Leduc's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carlos looks gassed! Leduc had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Carlos is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Leduc Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Carlos's back instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leduc is punishing Carlos with strikes - can he finish him?! Carlos is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Leduc is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Carlos defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Leduc lands a shot to the head. Carlos is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Leduc gets his way!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leduc wants to control the position but Carlos frees himself and scrambles - Leduc manages to regain control in side control.
Leduc decides to stand back up. Carlos tries to close the distance and clinch but Leduc swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nice sprawl there from Leduc as Carlos shoots in. Carlos tries to clinch but Leduc moves out of range. Leduc shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nice sprawl there from Carlos as Leduc shoots in. Leduc fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carlos, pushing him back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Zach Leduc will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Carlos drives through and clinches with Leduc against the cage.
Carlos tries to land knees in the clinch but Leduc avoids the damage to the body. Carlos with a knee to the head.
Carlos unloads a knee to the mid-section. Leduc lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Carlos connects with a knee to the head.
Carlos manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Carlos looking to control.
Leduc wants to control from the top but Carlos keeps moving. Leduc stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carlos swivels though and keeps the full guard. Leduc stands up from Carlos's guard - Leduc perhaps looking for a knockout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carlos tries for a takedown but Leduc circles away easily and Leduc counters with a single leg into guard. Carlos didn't expect that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leduc working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Carlos has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Leduc is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Carlos. Leduc is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Carlos looks calm but he's in trouble here. Leduc gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Carlos is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Leduc lets go of the hold and Carlos can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Zach Leduc!
