Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Troy Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Mario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mario Mario has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Troy Cannon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Troy Cannon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mario Mario! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cannon swats away the attempt to clinch by Mario. Cannon has managed to clinch.
Mario tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Mario is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Cannon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mario closes the distance but Cannon moves to the side so Cannon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Cannon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Cannon looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Mario trying to control the position.
Cannon scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Cannon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cannon content to stall in guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cannon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mario for as long as he can get away with. Cannon wants to get up but he can't break Mario's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Cannon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mario on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Troy Cannon just wasn't active enough. Mario shoots in but no luck this time. Troy Cannon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Mario. Mario with a lazy takedown attempt and Cannon counters by moving into the clinch. Cannon stalling.
Cannon decides to pull guard. Cannon has control of Mario's left arm, preventing Mario from doing any damage. Cannon is looking for a triangle but Mario pushes his legs off easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cannon keeping moving, preventing Mario from controlling successfully. Mario stands and throws Cannon's legs to the side, diving into side control. Mario is looking to take a break and control but Cannon is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. A bit of a lull in the action here. Cannon avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mario. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mario trying to control the action but Cannon is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Mario works to advance to full mount. Cannon defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Mario wants to control but instead Cannon manages to regain half guard. Cannon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mario's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mario's back! Mario looks winded! Mario looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Cannon working for a choke but Mario is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mario tries to escape but Cannon has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Mario is still trying to improve position. Mario is taking damage to the body and head. Mario is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Cannon gets his way!
Cannon has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cannon lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Cannon.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Troy Cannon dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Cannon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mario! Mario tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cannon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Cannon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mario, who protects the arm well. Mario seems a little lost for a moment, as Cannon dominates the positioning. Mario is looking for a sweep. Cannon working the head with strikes. Troy Cannon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mario is trying to improve his position. We've been informed that Mario has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Mario is breathing heavily. A lull in the action here as Cannon stalls from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cannon is chipping away with strikes.
Mario taking a bit of punishment here - Cannon scoring with strikes. Cannon tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Cannon decides to stand back up. Cannon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cannon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Cannon slows the pace down in half guard. Cannon is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cannon controlling the action here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We're going to have a standup here because Troy Cannon wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Mario fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mario doesn't manage to clinch there - Cannon circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cannon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cannon takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Cannon working Mario over with strikes. Mario looking for submissions off his back. Mario is trying to get back to full guard. Cannon content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cannon works his way into full mount! Cannon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mario in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Mario is looking to improve his position but Cannon isn't that keen on the idea. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cannon controlling his opponent. Cannon is looking to stand but Cannon has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Troy Cannon dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Cannon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mario on his heels. He'll look to pass Mario's guard now, I'm sure. Cannon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Mario doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Cannon wants to pass the guard but Mario is keeping the position. Cannon is stalling in the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cannon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

He catches Mario napping and manages to drive through into side control! Mario is trying to improve his position. He's shot a load of snot all down Mario's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cannon tries to move to mount but Mario blocks the move with his legs. Mario is looking for a sweep. Mario looks to move to half guard but instead Cannon has passed into mount! Damn! Mario is working to get back to half guard.
Cannon sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mario Mario has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mario is desperately trying to improve his position but Cannon has a good base and remains in mount. Cannon looking to control and managing it successfully. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cannon cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cannon is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mario can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Troy Cannon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cannon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Troy Cannon showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cannon has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
