Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leon Solis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durden has chosen Erase My Scars as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leon Solis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edward Durden! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durden shoots in and bounces Solis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Durden tries to free his leg and advance position but Solis is retaining full guard. Durden throws a strike but Solis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Solis wants to control from the top but Durden keeps moving. Durden is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ground and pound from Durden. Solis regains full guard. Nicely done. Durden in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Solis has his foot on Durden's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Durden works his way back into a safe position though. Durden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Durden throws a big right hand that misses.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Durden jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Solis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Durden makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Durden drops back looking for a leg! Solis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Solis manages to kick Durden off! Durden jumps back into Solis's guard. Solis keeping moving, preventing Durden from controlling successfully. Durden pushes down on Solis's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durden looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Solis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Solis manages to escape and get back to his feet! Durden shoots for a double leg takedown but Solis sprawls well. He's pushed Durden's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Solis wants to clinch up but Durden keeps it at a distance. Durden goes for a double leg but Solis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Solis continues to drive forward. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Durden has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Solis regains guard immediately. Solis wants to sweep but no luck. Durden is looking to work some ground and pound but Solis has wrist control. Durden makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durden postures up in Solis's guard and throws a big left but Solis blocks it. Durden has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Durden scoring with punches to the head and body. Durden sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Solis's guard. Durden wants to free his trapped foot but Solis is holding on for dear life with his legs. Durden is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Durden is looking to take a break and control but Solis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Durden scoring with strikes to the body and head. Durden scoring with strikes to the body and head. Durden lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Durden not landing any meaningful shots this time. Solis on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Durden has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Durden punishing his opponent with strikes. Durden trying to control but Solis is having none of it. Solis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Durden trying to control but he's not successful this time. Durden is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Durden cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edward Durden dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Durden shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Solis as he jumps to the side. Solis shoots for a double leg takedown but Durden sprawls well. He's pushed Solis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Solis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Solis has taken the fight to the clinch.

Solis dives in for a single leg takedown but Durden sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Durden tries to pull guard but Solis forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Durden tries to pull guard but Solis won't allow it.
Leon Solis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edward Durden. Durden is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Solis gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Durden managing to block the knees to the body from Solis.

Leon Solis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Solis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Durden moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Solis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Durden as he jumps to the side. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Solis misses with a kick to the body and Durden counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Solis's guard now. Durden controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Durden scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Durden postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Solis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Durden, into his guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Durden can do anything to dispel that myth. Durden working for a triangle but Solis defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Durden is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Solis presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Solis dodges an elbow strike from Durden.
Solis wants a takedown but no success here.
Durden is trying to trip Solis. He has hold of a leg but Solis is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Durden persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Durden working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Durden trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Durden scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Edward Durden has got the better of the ground game so far. Durden trying to control the position from guard on top but Solis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durden in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Durden landing with the ground and pound. Durden is pushing down on Solis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Solis is fighting to maintain full guard but Durden has managed to sneak the leg through. Solis is defending against the submission attempts here by Durden.
Solis is not content to let Durden control the position. Durden is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Solis wants to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Solis trying to control but Durden postures up.
Durden lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Durden working the head and body with strikes. Solis gets full guard. Durden trying to control but Solis is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durden has gone for a leg lock! Solis slips out almost immediately though and dives into Durden's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Durden tries to land a sweep but no joy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edward Durden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Durden checks a leg kick nicely. Durden leaves Solis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Durden shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Solis as he jumps to the side. Solis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Solis is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Solis pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Durden has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Solis regains guard immediately. Durden lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Durden postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Durden wants to pass the guard but Solis is keeping the position. Durden has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Durden is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Durden landing with the ground and pound. Durden works over Solis with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Durden cracks Solis with a solid left hand.
Solis is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durden thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Oh Solis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Durden postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Durden chips away with some ground and pound. Durden working some strikes from top position. Durden gets to his feet - Solis follows without any prompting. Durden shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Solis is on queer street and Durden is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Edward Durden! An out of breath Edward Durden thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
