Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dem Myan Mayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gracie pinned against the cage. Gracie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mayer shoots in for a takedown but Gracie shows good takedown defense.
Mayer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but Mayer persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing.
Damian Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dem Myan Mayer.

Gracie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mayer to the mat! Mayer manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Mayer has wrist control.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mayer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Mayer's legs - danger averted.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gracie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gracie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mayer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gracie has Mayer in his guard.

Mayer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gracie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mayer is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gracie defends it well.

Mayer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Mayer decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
A punch lands to the side of Mayer 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Gracie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mayer manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mayer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gracie manages to get himself to full guard.

Gracie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mayer defends it easily.

Gracie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mayer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mayer is aware though and is defending well.

Mayer drops back looking for a leg! Gracie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gracie manages to kick Mayer off! Mayer jumps back into Gracie's guard.

Gracie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mayer is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gracie.

Gracie tries to reverse the position but Mayer maintains control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Damian Gracie will probably get the nod.

Mayer gets caught napping as Gracie dives in and scores a takedown. Mayer manages to retain guard.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
