Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alastair Gridlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Haley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gridlock kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Robbie Williams - Come Undone. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gridlock throws a body punch but Haley moves out of range.
A head kick from Gridlock lands but Haley takes it in his stride.

Gridlock has been working on his boxing with his coaches at gym closing in the buildup to the fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Haley has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
You can see the frustration on Haley's face� He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Haley is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Haley throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Haley crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gridlock - the referee stops the clock and Haley gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gridlock. Haley manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Haley tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gridlock manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Haley has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Gridlock.
Gridlock stalks Haley and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Haley's face. Haley staggers backwards, shaken.

Gridlock throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Haley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gridlock swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alastair Gridlock.
