Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mauro Stokes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keenan Dern (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dern closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Dern is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stokes has escaped the position, nice work there.

Stokes gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Stokes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Dern has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stokes is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Dern has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Stokes clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Stokes grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Dern is trying to stick to Stokes's back but Stokes is turning into Dern. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dern's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Stokes.
Dern has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stokes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stokes jumps guard but Dern turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Dern has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Dern lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stokes down.
Dern is working to tighten his grip on Stokes's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Stokes has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dern is really squeezing tight and eventually Stokes passes out! Dern breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
