Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cam Laco!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laco closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Laco breaks from the clinch.
Laco wants to clinch up but spears keeps it at a distance.
Laco lands with a kick to the ribs.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Laco.
spears tries a head kick but it misses.
spears tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
spears shoots in and drives through. Laco sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Laco. No joy for spears on that attempt.
Laco's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Laco duly obliges.

Laco drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Laco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Laco connects with a nice short shot to spears's temple.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
spears stays in close to Laco's body and controls the position.

Laco is striking off his back. spears thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
spears slips a nice elbow through Laco's hands, connecting with Laco's forehead.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Cam Laco showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

spears changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laco tries to avoid it but spears manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laco to the ground. Laco escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Laco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with spears. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Laco is working for a guillotine from mount but spears frees his head quite easily.
spears bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Laco throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent spears stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Laco has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
