Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Len Camacho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blake Ward!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camacho closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ward to the mat! Ward manages to get full guard.
Camacho's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Camacho's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Ward looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Camacho pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ward is keeping the position for now.
Ward looking for a guillotine here but Camacho defends easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ward looking for subs off his back but Camacho has passed one foot through into half guard.

Ward is trying to maintain the position but Camacho is very close to passing his half guard.
Ward is looking to improve his position.
Camacho knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ward on the ground.
Ward moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ward working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Camacho doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Camacho manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Camacho tries to free his leg and advance position but Ward is retaining full guard.
Camacho sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ward's guard.
Ward has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Camacho. Oh but Ward has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Camacho goes limp - he's gone! Ward jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
