Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danial Morse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Danial Morse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Desmond Montoya! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montoya closes the distance and clinches. Morse looking to slow down the pace here. Morse tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Montoya just stands there and leans against the cage. Montoya is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Morse can't fight it off and eventually Montoya manages to take the fight to the floor. Morse looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Montoya tries to free his leg and advance position but Morse is retaining full guard. Morse throws a couple of heel strikes.
Montoya has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Morse is proving hard to escape from. Montoya really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morse. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montoya is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Morse can't keep his opponent in guard - Montoya advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Montoya is controlling the pace.
Montoya tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montoya working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Morse's thigh. Morse counters though and makes it back to full guard. Montoya wants to pass the guard but Morse is keeping the position. Morse will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Montoya trying to control the position from guard on top but Morse is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Desmond Montoya has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Montoya will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Montoya closes the distance and clinches. Montoya breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Morse gets caught napping as Montoya dives in and scores a takedown. Morse manages to retain guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morse is on top in guard.
Montoya keeping moving, preventing Morse from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Montoya can do anything to dispel that myth. Montoya trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morse scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Morse throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Montoya works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Montoya is controlling Morse's posture. Montoya is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Morse defends well. Montoya looks winded! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Montoya thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Morse wants to control from the top but Montoya keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Montoya has his foot on Morse's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morse works his way back into a safe position though. Morse drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Morse jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Desmond Montoya dominated that round. That's time! Morse's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Montoya changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Morse tries to avoid it but Montoya manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Morse to the ground. Morse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Montoya throws a sloppy head kick and Morse counters with a one-two to the body. Montoya rushes Morse and presses him up against the cage. Montoya has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Morse is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. A short uppercut from Montoya. Morse is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Montoya tightens his grip and picks Morse up, before dumping him to the ground. Morse manages to land in guard. Morse tries to land a sweep but no joy. Montoya is breathing heavily. Montoya throws a big right hand that misses. Morse is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morse bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Montoya's guard. Morse trying to control but Montoya is working from the bottom. Morse is really struggling to control Montoya but he's trying to hold on to the position. Morse drops back looking for a leg! Montoya is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Montoya manages to kick Morse off! Morse jumps back into Montoya's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Montoya has an active guard here but Morse has managed to pass into half guard.
Morse trying to control from half guard but Montoya is working away. Morse sitting and controlling from the half guard. Morse is looking for a kimura but Montoya is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Morse to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morse prevents Montoya from improving his position. Montoya wants to control but Morse is keeping busy and won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Montoya is defending against the submission attempts here by Morse.
Montoya wants to get back to his feet.
Morse is looking for a kimura but Montoya is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Morse to get the leverage. Montoya is trying to control but can't.
Morse passes to side control. Montoya tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morse working the ground and pound but Montoya is defending the strikes. Morse trying to control the position but Montoya is working away. Montoya tries to buck Morse off but Morse is having none of it. Montoya is trying to buck Morse off. Morse in side control lands a decent elbow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Morse lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Montoya down.

Danial Morse dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Morse tries to clinch up but Montoya circles away and keeps his distance. Montoya swings for the body but Morse moves out of range.
Montoya has closed the distance and engaged Morse in a clinch.
Montoya wants to break the clinch but can't.
Montoya turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Montoya decides to stand back up. Montoya steps back and let's Morse get back to his feet. Montoya stuffs the takedown attempt from Morse. Morse gets slowly back to his feet. Montoya changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Morse tries to avoid it but Montoya manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Morse to the ground. Morse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Montoya takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Montoya closes the distance and clinches up with Morse, looking for a takedown. Montoya pushes Morse against the cage but Morse circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morse tries to close the distance and clinch up but Montoya swats him away and circles back towards the center. Montoya thows a body kick. Morse tries to catch it but that hurt him. Morse shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Morse looks to clinch and Montoya counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Morse moves in looking to clinch but Montoya pushes him off. Montoya slaps away a takedown attempt from Morse, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danial Morse. That's going to take a lot out of him. Morse tries to clinch but fails miserably and Montoya moves into the clinch. Morse is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Montoya is defending well for now. Morse tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Montoya just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Good body shot from Montoya.
Montoya is trying to push Morse away but Morse has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Montoya tries to pull guard but Morse forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Morse tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Montoya gets control of Morse's arms and successfully pulls guard. Montoya will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Morse showing good wrestling skills to control the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Morse won't allow Montoya to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morse won't allow Montoya to sweep him here. Morse wants to control from the top but Montoya keeps moving. Morse is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Montoya is trying to keep Morse in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Danial Morse wasn't doing enough on the ground. Morse fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Montoya gets in close and instigates a clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Desmond Montoya comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Montoya has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
